Sexual Violence against Native women averages an annual rate of 7.2 per 1000,compared to 1.9 per 1000 for all races.

63 American Indian women were surveyed In a study done by the American Indian Chemical Health Project 1 in Minnesota, 75% reported that they had experienced some type of sexual assault in their lives.

The National Violence Against Women Survey concluded that 34.1% of American Indian/ Alaska Native women will be raped in their lifetime more than 1 in 3.
