GivingTuesday

What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Inspiring Future Cycle Breakers

On November 28, 2023, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities and change our world. Will you be one of them? The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) will be participating in GivingTuesday and we ask you to support us as we continue our work in breaking cycles of violence in tribal communities.

This GivingTuesday, donations raised will support three focus areas of our work:

Raise funds for the little ones’ holiday book drive.
We believe every child deserves safety and the gift of learning. You have the opportunity to provide Indigenous youth residing in shelters and ICWA resource families the gift of reading this holiday season. Support a child’s learning, imagination, and safety today!

Raise funds for advocates’ support initiatives.
We believe every advocate is essential and critical to breaking cycles of violence. You have the opportunity to support and uplift the capacity of compassionate advocates who provide holistic care to Survivors and community. Good ally lead by example, are you ready to support advocates break the cycles of violence?

Raise funds to strengthen our training for advocates, service providers, first responders, and community.
We believe education and awareness begins the journey of cycle breaking. You have the opportunity to aid us in enhancing our trainings provided to tribal communities, which will continue to build capacity for our participants grounded in trauma informed care. Training begins the process of system change, are you willing to support the training initiatives that move forward the realities of cycle breaking?

Here is how you can get ready to #Give4CycleBreaking:

  1. Mark you calendar. November 28, 2023
  2. Give. On November 28th
  3. Spread the word. Encourage your relatives, friends and community to join you in the movement to breaking cycle of violence on November 28 by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support CSVANW. Make sure to use hashtags #Give4CycleBreaking and #GivingTuesday and tag us so we can share!
