Mayor Tim Keller launched a national search for the next Chief of Police for the Albuquerque Police Department in October and the City spent the following three months gathering input from the community. The search process was guided by contracted specialist, Herb Crosby, a local consultant and owner of Avtec. Mr. Crosby and city staff conducted over 40 community input sessions to hear directly from folks about what they would like to see in the next chief. The city also received nearly 2,300 responses to the online survey seeking input. You can find the results of those meetings and the online survey here.
The public is encouraged to provide input at any stage of the search process, including suggestions for questions to be asked of the finalists, to [email protected].
