ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Several local community organizations came together for a healing gathering.
“When we think about healing action of course you know the traditional songs, the prayers and the dancing is really important. But also because this issue affects our native children,” said Jolene Holgate, training and education director with the Coalition To Stop Violence Against Native Women.
One reason for the gathering was because of concerns over a stolen plaque at a mass grave of native children in Albuquerque.
